 Community Leader’s Message

Happy New Year to everyone. Thank you to everyone who remembered to come on the second Tuesday of January instead of the first Tuesday of the month.  I hope everyone had a good vacation and are ready to get back to work, school, 4-H events, and their new goals and resolutions for the year.  I want to thank Lucas Van Winkle for hosting the holiday party at his home.  It was a fun event enjoyed by all.  Our next unit meeting is February 5, the same day as the primary election.  Hope to see everyone there.

Super Saturday

Super Saturday is a county event for all 4-H members.  Different clubs and groups in the county of San Diego have hands on booths with games and projects to participate in.   The County All Stars are in charge of this event.  Super Saturday is always an amazing day.  Britney Grigsby is chairing this event for our club.  Our club will have a booth with a horticulture activity.

When:   February 2, 2008

Where: Hilltop recreation Center, 9711 Oviedo Way,

San Diego, CA 92129

Who:    All 4-H members

Why?   To meet other county members and learn

what great things they are doing and learning.

Candy Sales

There will be candy to sell at the next Unit Meeting in February.  Our club must make a $10.00 contribution to the 4-H county office for every member we have.  This is done through the candy sale.  Please sell your box of candy and help our club.  You may also “op” out of the sale and make a $10.00 contribution to the county 4-H.  The candy bars sell for $1.00.  Any profit left over after the $10.00 per member contribution to the county 4-H will remain with our club.
