Welcome back to the new 4-H year with new beginnings and new goals.
Our sign up night was busy and full of new members and families. The Jamul club wants to welcome each new members and their
family to our group. I hope you
sensed the excitement from our old members and our project leaders.
There are two new projects this year jewelry making and cooking. Please
don’t hesitate to call project leaders or me, Ginnie if you have any
questions.
I also encourage you to read the newsletter every month.
Editors, Vicki and Jocelyn Lindsey do a great job of getting information

the editors welcome all article and information you submit to the newsletter.

The new officers for the 2007-2008 year will be installed at the October

place at 7:00 PM. It will be held
in the Multiply Use Room at Jamul Primary School.
This is a short ceremony that honors our old and new officers and
encourages new members to consider leadership with our club.
Record
Books and Project Reports
One of the important part of 4-H is record keeping of expenses and what
you do in each project. In order to get credit for the previous 4-H year, you must
turn in a project report that is signed by your project leader to the club.
Record books with Personal Development Forms may also be turned in.
This will count towards star rankings.
Record books and project reports must be turned in by October 20 to
Ginnie Wadhams. Our awards night
will be November 6 at the unit meeting.
Fall
Festival Petting Zoo
The Fall Festival for Jamul Primary and Intermediate School has invited
our club to do a Petting Zoo at this event.
Please save Friday, October 26, 5:30 - 8:30 for the date.
You can bring a small animal, dog, or goat to be displayed for the
children to see or even pet. You
can even wear a costume to this fun event.
A chairperson for this event will be chosen at the Oct. Unit meeting.
Officers’
Training Day
Officer’s Training Day is October 20.
The location and time is still TBA. This event is for all officers and members from all of the
