Water Bottle Rocket Launch, Sunday, May 21,
2006
Kevin and Gene helped the San Diego chapter of the American Society of
Mechanical Engineers host a Bottle Rocket Launch. They host this each year
as an educational experience, inviting the schools in the county to encourage
their students to attend. This year the Launch was held in conjunction
with the Gujarati Association of San Diego (GASD),
who was holding their (Week After) Mother's Day picnic. The picnic was
held at the Peñasquitos Creek Park in Rancho Peñasquitos. The kids from
young to old were standing in line to shoot off their bottles and rockets.
Take a look at the Space Shuttle rocket! Click
here, or on the picture below, for more photos of the event. The
purpose of the San Diego Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers
(ASME International) is to promote and enhance the Mechanical Engineering
profession. Their web site is http://sections.asme.org/sandiego/.
The GASD is an organization committed to preserve and promote the heritage of
indian Gujarati culture. Their web site is www.gasdonline.org
